Facilities Maintenance Technician

Work Location Delicato Vineyards Manteca 

Position Purpose

Under limited supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures and through detailed instructions on new projects, assignments, and self-directed work schedules. This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to trouble-shoot, repair, adjust, install, maintain, operate, test or otherwise service equipment in support of bottling, facility, and production operations. 

Functional Responsibility

Essential Duties

  • Collaborates with other stakeholders and third-party providers to ensure a safe working environment as it relates to tools/equipment, training, work environment, unsafe acts, identifying potential issues or other related safety items; works cohesively with leadership, operators, administration; interacts with various vendors and contractors
  • Assists in development and execution of preventative maintenance activities and schedules
  • Provides emergent repair and troubleshooting services across a wide range of facility support equipment
  • Cleans, lubricates, repairs, and maintains machinery using hand tools or specialized equipment; replaces or repairs defective parts
  • Tests electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as a multimeter
  • Assists with the ordering, purchasing of necessary parts and tools
  • Understands and complies with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations; works in accordance with general safety, OSHA, ISO, FSSC and other certification requirements as applicable

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 4+ years building maintenance experience or equivalent experience with emphasis in a related field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of building maintenance and basic construction including basic plumbing, basic electrical, Landscaping, HVAC etc. 
  • Ability to organize work and set priorities based on work order load as to ensure the critical functions are taken care of
  • Detail oriented, highly motivated, proactive and can work with minimal direct supervision
  • Computer literate in a Microsoft environment
  • Familiar with CMMS systems for maintenance management and EMS systems for facilities energy management

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing plant/production floor environment
  • Required to drive automotive vehicle or equipment
  • Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations
  • Exposure to weather-related temperature & humidity extremes
  • Extended Hours
  • Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Must be able to pass fit test and perform work while wearing respirators
  • Work at protected heights of 50’
  • Work in close quarters or confined spaces
  • Exposure to varying levels of dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
