Pricing Analyst

Position Purpose

Under minimal supervision, the Pricing Analyst supports the management of pricing data and processes to ensure timely review and adherence to compliance policies. The analyst coordinates cross-functionally to create proper conditions for Field Sales to conduct pricing and resolve pricing discrepancies and issues as they arise. This position provides analysis and reporting to support pricing workflow management and works closely with Finance and State Compliance for continual process improvement.

Essential Duties

  • Works cross-functionally with Customer Service, Finance, Sales, and State Compliance to resolve pricing matters as it relates to the pricing processes, procedures and workflows, problem resolution, and the implementation of cost-effective solutions.
  • Obtains a thorough understanding of upcoming product launches to support Finance, Sales, and State Compliance, ensuring accurate and complete pricing records to minimize order holds.
  • Supports the pricing combination setup process in our pricing system to authorize establishing pricing.
  • Provides support to aid in the resolution of pricing issues with wholesaler and credit memos, including gaining necessary approvals and tracking root-cause for future process improvements.
  • Supports reporting on workflow status, new product launches, and other ad-hoc reporting as necessary to support timely and accurate pricing.
  • Works collaboratively with Accounting, Finance, and State Compliance on pricing related matters regarding merchandise transfers, including validating accuracy of pricing, drafting necessary documentation, and gaining necessary approvals.
  • Performs Price Structure Management (PSM) validation for all price posting states in compliance with state regulations and works with Finance and State Compliance to resolve discrepancies.
  • In coordination with Finance and State Compliance, complete ad-hoc requests for pricing reconciliations, manual pricing loads into systems of record, etc.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and State Compliance to identify root causes to pricing problems, propose potential solutions, and follow through on corrections.
  • Prepare and compile other analytics and ad hoc projects, as needed.

Non-Essential Duties

  • Assists with special projects as needed
  • Travel to off-site meetings approximately once monthly for key meetings with key stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting, economics, or other comparable focus or a minimum of 3 years of similar industry experience.
  • Experience as a financial or compliance analyst or in the internal audit profession a plus.

  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
