Financial Systems Analyst

Position Purpose

Under minimal supervision, the Financial Systems Analyst serves as owner and primary administrator of the Business Planning & Consolidation platform (BPC), developing a deep understanding of Company strategy, initiatives, and needs in order to ensure BPC is configured and fully leveraged in support of financial planning and reporting. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance & Planning, the Analyst additionally acts as an available team resource, contributing to the successful completion of overall Finance related goals and objectives. 

Essential Duties

  • Leads design, development, and implementation of BPC enhancements, working closely with BPC Program Manager on our Information Solutions team
  • Responsible for the accuracy and configuration of BPC master data, ensuring alignment with SAP (system of record)
  • Manages data security profiles within BPC
  • Conducts BPC user training and troubleshooting, including onboarding sessions for new hires and leads periodic ‘level-up’ workshops
  • Responsible for keeping internal financial system functionality and processes documented and accurate
  • Conveys information to BPC user group surrounding enhancements, system disruptions, and other relevant notifications in a concise and timely manner 
  • Facilitates monthly close and financial planning cycle activities by scheduling and running various packages (e.g. calculations, data import/export, system clean-up, etc.)
  • Reconciles BPC data monthly against Sales & Management analytics platform (Qlik Sense), working with Commercial Finance and Information Solutions teams to resolve any discrepancies
  • Leads the cross-functional effort to export various Annual Plan data to other internal software applications for use with sales volume tracking, demand planning, and departmental budget management
  • Supports Finance department projects and initiatives, including ad-hoc analysis as needed 
  • Partners with cross-functional groups such as Production Finance, Commercial Finance, and Supply Chain, to identify ways financial application can help improve efficiency of planning and analysis
  • Exhibits a continuous improvement mindset, including monitoring industry trends and technological developments within financial database/ERP platforms 
  • Acts as an available intellectual resource for various members of the business; freely brainstorms and contributes ideas

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology
  • 4 years working with financial ERP systems and automated planning tools (BPC, Hyperion, Essbase, JDE, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization applications such as Tableau and Qlik Sense are a plus
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Wine or beverage alcohol experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of financial and managerial reporting
  • Solid analytical and computer skills are required; expert in Excel, with ability to report and graph complex information
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, must exhibit excellent communication skills
  • Close attention to detail, with proven problem-solving ability
  • High aptitude for software programs and computer systems, especially related to data management

Working Conditions

  • General office environment with occasional travel 
  • Required to drive automotive vehicle or equipment
