Associate Trade Marketing Manager

Position Purpose

Associate Trade Marketing Manager works in collaboration with the Trade and Customer Marketing, Brand and Marketing Services teams as well as cross functionally with the National & International Sales Teams, to proactively assist in managing and developing plans and tools to generate demand in order to achieve annual performance plan.  The Associate Trade Marketing Manager solely supports the International Team and works across channels and the portfolio in order to assist in streamlining systems, processes, and communications for the overall Trade Marketing Team.   This role coordinates between National and International Sales, Trade, Brand and Marketing Services Teams within Delicato and maintain a two-way collaborative dialogue that emphasizes teamwork and getting results.   

Essential Duties

  • Provides prompt follow up on incoming requests to fosters a cohesive, professional and collaborative relationship with Brand, Digital and Trade Marketing, Zone Sales, international teams
  • Implements program set-up and implementation for the following tactics: Digital Consumer Offer Calendar across all retailer platforms, Catalina, News America, Vestcom and Regional TTW programs
  • Supports the creation of Trade Marketing digital selling tools, presentation materials and communications
  • Collaborates with Category Managers to incorporate key fact-based insights in sell sheets, decks and communication pieces, to deliver against account and brand objectives
  • Facilitates the Digital Trade Marketing Text-to-win opportunities for each region, including strategy and approval
  • Represents trade marketing in weekly meeting with regional text-to-win agency calls. Reports back to Trade Marketing team during weekly team meetings.
  • Publishes program results and evaluation reporting for all Trade Marketing Digital programs
  • Collaborates with internal Marketing Services team as well as the creative service team in order to produce trade Marketing elements to support International and TMM’s
  • Assists Trade Marketing Managers in development of key customer programs with top retailers to help develop customized solutions in order to grow the business.   
  • Compiles/updates weekly Trade Marketing meeting agendas and reports such as: Open PO report, TPR report, Trade Marketing Program Deck, New Product Development Tracker, Workfront report, Trade Marketing Team Meeting Agenda, Key Dates
  • Compiles/updates Trade Marketing  monthly sales call  agenda including, but not limited to the following: facilitate compilation of Brand, Trade and Marketing Services business updates, National key dates coordination and manages agency to ensure distribution lists are current, and ensures timely publication of agenda to key stakeholders, and manages agency to ensure KPI’s are being achieved
  • Maintenance and reporting of Trade Marketing Cognito project portal
  • Monitors and tracks adherence to spend within project budgets as set by international sales team, Brand, Customer Marketing and/or Trade budgets
  • Develops prioritized trade marketing plans for the International Team that are in alignment with Company goals and objectives; communicates clearly defined objectives to key sales and distributors stakeholders
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of key customers programs within top international partners
  •  SAP Lead for Trade Marketing Team
  • Works with TMM’s to submit Trade Marketing contracts for approval, facilitates changes/adjustments, and communication of final approvals back to the Trade Marketing Team
  • In conjunction with Trade Marketing Director, assists with planning content for Distributor JBP presentations, as well as, the Delicato Sales On-Boarding, Global and Division Sales meetings
  • Assists with Trade Marketing Annual Strategic Planning process, tools and Channel plans
  • Participates in seasonal Channel surveys

Non-Essential Duties

  • Assists with other Marketing initiatives upon request

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related degree
  • M.B.A. a plus
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in marketing and/or sales


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skillset with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong communicator and negotiator
  • Ability to work independently and build relationships
  • Experience in E-Commerce and digital shopper platforms
  • Experience utilizing data from Nielsen and other sources
  • Strong budget management, project management, analysis and reporting skills
  • Must possess working knowledge of wine and the wine industry
