Inventory Analyst

Position Purpose
Inventory Analyst is responsible for devising and executing comprehensive, data-driven strategies for managing finished goods and raw materials inventory. This role will maximize inventory efficiency, optimize service levels, mitigate risk, and enhance customer satisfaction. In this highly collaborative and analytical role, Inventory Analyst is a contributor to the S&OP process . Inventory Analyst ensures the accuracy of inventory data across storage locations and raw material environments. This position demands strong strategic thinking, advanced analytical skills, and initiative-taking collaboration with Quality Control, Distribution, Bottling Operations, Winemaking, Finance, Sourcing & Supply, and Supply Chain Planning.
Functional Responsibility
Essential Duties
- Champions company-wide inventory strategy through detailed segmentation modeling, product lifecycle tracking, and the use of predictive analytics to guide business decisions
- Leads monthly reviews of at-risk, obsolete, and slow-moving materials inventory by conducting root-cause analysis and scenario planning; collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, and Materials Operations to drive corrective action and strategic optimization
- Ability to design, implement, and sustain streamlined processes for the efficient movement of finished goods across multiple distribution centers, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and operational excellence
- Analyzes finished & raw material performance to determine inventory liability. Provides reporting for all inventory risks to support S&OP cycle. Oversight of inventory proposals to support S&OP cycle
- Conducts and provides analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) to include days of supply (DoS), inventory turns, ATP, aging, stranded, excess and unfinished levels
- Maintains ISO Procedures for Inventory Analysis and adhere to ISO policy for inventory control
- Provides analytical support for the development and execution of supply chain and financial performance objectives
- Creates compelling, data-backed recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders by communicating complex findings clearly and strategically
- Assists with the implementation of high-impact projects across planning, operations, and finance to support ongoing supply chain transformation

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred in supply chain, business, finance or related field
- 3 - 5 years’ experience working as an Analyst (Supply Chain analyst, Inventory Analyst, etc.) or comparable combination of work experience and education
- Experience working within SAP ERP systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrates excellence in communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Strong background in customer support, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration
- Proven ability to prioritize, structure, and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously within a dynamic environment
- Strong understanding of financial metrics, inventory valuation, and reporting processes
- Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills to effectively collaborate with mid- to senior-level leadership
- Technical proficiency in advanced data analytics tools and systems, including SAP (preferred), JDE, and planning platforms like Hyperion, BPC, or Cognos
- Strong analytical acumen: ability to analyze, interpret, and drive data-based decisions using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SAP 4HANA
- Familiarity with tiered distribution environments and supply chain operations in manufacturing or consumer goods industries

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $64,998.24 to $101,552.88. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
