HR Administrator

Position Purpose
Under minimal supervision, the HR Administrator assists the broader Human Resources (HR) team with day-to-day department activities and supports the administration of employee recognition and development programs. This position also supports the Delicato new hire onboarding process and provides HR front office support, responding to employee inquiries and directing them to appropriate resources.
Essential Duties
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate level
- Administers the new hire Form I-9 process, ensuring forms and required documentation are completed accurately and timely in accordance with established legal and company requirements; maintain compliant records and follow up promptly on incomplete or outstanding documentation
- Serve as primary contact for new hire onboarding process. Partners with hiring managers to coordinate new hire start date and related HR required tasks; schedules and delivers new hire orientation to new employees in-person and virtually
- Administers employee badges and acts as primary contact for badge related inquiries and troubleshooting
- Provides administrative support for Learning & Development programming including but not limited to logistical planning for on-site training events, activating internal training courses, management of L&D calendar and email communications, tracking course enrollment, course evaluations, and coordination of course materials
- Serves as primary administrative contact for Delicato’s internal Learning Management System (LMS), Absorb; guides users on the development of training content, responds to related inquiries and partners with I.S. for system troubleshooting
- Administers the company’s labor law poster program, including tracking poster needs by property, coordinating annual orders and updates, distributing materials to each location, and ensuring required posters are appropriately displayed
- Partners with Benefits & Wellness Program Manager in the planning and execution of the Delicato Employee Milestone recognition program, including the organization of milestone luncheons and the tracking and distribution of milestone awards. Enlists the partnership of others as needed
- Provides general department administrative support as needed (event planning, placing meal orders, ordering office supplies, and assisting with mail and shipping as needed)
- Helps support all HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- 1-3 years’ experience in project / event coordination and/or office administration in Human Resources preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Experience with HR databases, Learning Management Systems, and HRIS preferred
Certificates and Licenses
- Valid driver’s license, appropriate automobile insurance coverage, and clean driving record
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels of employees and leadership
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and quickly assess what needs to get done
- Drive for results, ability to work independently supported by an HR team, and strong attention to detail
- Takes initiative in identifying creative ways to approach existing processes
- Effective team player; understands and demonstrates hands-on approach to providing HR support
- Proficient with MS Windows Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and HRIS software
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Working Conditions
- General office environment with occasional travel
- Required to drive automotive vehicle or equipment

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Non-Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $26.78 to $41.86. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
